### *Zeiss LSM 910 with Lightfield*

This month, the LSM 900 Live Cell will be exchanged for the LSM 910 with Lightfield 4D. There will be only slight differences in the confocal features, but with the added capabilities of [Lightfield](https://www.zeiss.com/microscopy/us/products/light-microscopes/confocal-microscopes/lightfield-4d.html?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=20682078396&gbraid=0AAAAAC7Qge7HGOPI79ugbNVr_WHYUHIFE&gclid=Cj0KCQjw5JXFBhCrARIsAL1ckPsH8e3bz2HMfggwCz9cy0H4cUAqyb1g2UCPDkJ3dPw0XpDIOICCuEgaAo4-EALw_wcB). If you are an LSM 900 Live Cell user, please transfer all your data to the shared drive by and watch for updates via email.

### *Image of the Month*

We will be accepting an image of the month to be included in our newsletter. It can be beautiful, the ugliest image you’ve ever taken, or funny. Internal Harvard users can [submit their images here,](https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=9CL6b2hFBUGtQy461HJpVxqZ_Z1hoxpGiSmD-uduvAVUM0JNRVNTSlpINU83RFRaMTlNMExYN1NLRiQlQCN0PWcu) and external users can email us at [hcbi\_imaging@fas.harvard.edu](mailto:hcbi_imaging@fas.harvard.edu)

## Upcoming Events

### *Nikon Elements JOBS Seminar: October 28th*

Are you a Nikon Spinning Disk user? Come learn from Nikon what workflows you can create with their graphical programming software, “JOBS.” JOBS allows you to create custom experiments, like taking a low-magnification image of the whole slide and then selecting an area to image in higher resolution or scanning multiwell plates.

## *Super User of the Month*

**Alix Weisman** (Hunter Lab) was imaging Halo-tagged SID-1 in *C. elegans* mutant backgrounds. Utilizing tile regions on the LSM980 and a custom JOBS script on the SoRa she was able to efficiently image samples day and night, allowing us to collect ~10-weeks of data in a 2-week span.
