## **Training must be booked at least 24 hrs in advance for a minimum of 2 hrs**

Before reserving training, please ensure you have completed the registration process and **discussed your project with a member of the** [**HCBI staff**](mailto:hcbi_imaging@fas.harvard.edu)**.**

Training reservations must occur between 8AM-12PM or 1PM-5PM, MON-FRI, and you will need to bring a sample. See a specific trainer for their hours.

**1) Microscope and Training reservations are made through** [**SPINAL**](https://webapps.sciences.fas.harvard.edu/spinal/)**.** Select the 'reserve today' or 'calendar' buttons above the picture of each microscope on the right side of the SPINAL home page.

**2) Reserve the same block of time on a training calendar**. If no trainer is available, return to the microscope calendar and select a new time. The training calendars can be found below the microscopes on the bottom-right of the SPINAL home page. (Note: Linda only trains on Zeiss microscopes)

**3)** **Please email your trainer** to let them know which microscope you reserved and anything else you want them to know.

**4)** After receiving training, it is best practice to reserve your first few independent sessions during normal business hours, as you will likely still need some help.
