New Instruments for HCBI

This summer, we will be making some changes to the equipment lineup at the HCBI. The ELYRA will be replaced with 2 instruments:

Nikon Spinning Disk with SoRa

This system will have standard spinning disk capabilities along with a super-resolution SoRa disk that will provide images similar to SIM on the ELYRA.  This system will also be capable of doing DNA-paint for SMLM work.

Zeiss LSM 910 Upright Microscope

This configuration will be similar to our 2-photon microscope, so hopefully this will relieve pressure on that microscope

Another change coming will be that the LSM900 Live Cell will be switched out with an LSM910 with Lightfield system. This will only make minor changes to the standard imaging set up but add a new technology. The Zeiss website has more about Lightfield.
